O-Ringing/Fire Rings:

  • O-Ringing uses a .041" SST wire pressed into the head it allows for more clamp load around the combustion area composite gasket only
  • Fire Rings use a .120" solid SST ring,  the groove is cut in the head typically (most common) or in the block.  In some cases its split between the block and the head.  This method uses a special MLS or Composite Gasket with the fire ring section of the gasket cut out.
  • Recommended for high boost/hp applications or even stock power for added reliability
